VUCA

 VUCA

The United States faced exactly this situation in the 1990s, when the socialist system collapsed and the only enemy remained. Instead of an open front between East and West, there suddenly appeared many new threats and crises that did not follow the rules known until now. The US military had to adapt to these new conditions and initially gave them a name: VUCA. This acronym stands for variability, uncertainty, complexity and uncertainty.
VUCA represents a set of problems that individuals, teams, managers and organizations in affected industries must face. Individually, these challenges can be significant, but when combined they can be difficult.
Although VUCA may seem unavoidable in some industries, you can manage yourself, your team and your organization to reduce its impact. You can even use it to your advantage. The key to management in this environment is to break down VUCA into component parts and identify variable, uncertain, complex or uncertain situations.

1 - Volatile - Variability: Change is rapid and unpredictable in its nature and scope.
2 - Uncertain - Uncertainty: The moment is uncertain and the future is uncertain. Past experiences and predictions provide a worse basis for drawing conclusions about the future.
3 - Complex - Complexity: With the potential to cause chaos and confusion, many different, interconnected factors come into play. Understanding the mechanism between cause and effect is increasingly difficult. An action can have unpredictable consequences, neither in terms of its consequences nor its effects.
4 - Uncertain - Uncertainty: Lack of clarity or awareness about situations. So there are neither black nor white options, but there are many color options.
